Stepping out of Spiritual Drought

Spiritual Drought....

Do you ever feel like you just aren't as on fire for God as you should be? Sometimes it seems that if you are a genuine, strong believer that a spiritual; drought can not be be possible.

However, that is not true and we all have struggles. I want to share with you three ways to come out of your drought and into a soul on fire.

1. Make your time with Christ PERSONAL.

Tell Jesus what is on your heart, let it all up! The way I bring the closeness of Christ to my life is my journaling Bible that has every note, prayer, and verse in it that I could ever need. It is safe to say that Jesus abounds through His words in our hands.

Ephesians 5:15-17

"Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is."

2. Find and ATTACK the bad habits pulling you down.

Is it your readiness to leave God when you feel He doesn't show up? Is it your procrastination that leaves you too third to read His word? Is it eve that your priorities are mixed up? Once you have found the root it is easy yo kill the tree that is bring you down.

Romans 12:2

"Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect."

3. Pray for a REJUVENATED Spirit.

Ultimately, Christ does it all. He is living inside of you, so pray for that fire to be sparked in your heart. Pray for a new opportunity to share the good news. Nothing is too broken that Jesus cannot fix!

Matthew 5:16

"In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven."

Take these three things and bring them close to your heart. Save them to look at when you don't feel at the right place with your Savior.
